Breakfast as a word has been connoted because it is the first meal of the day and it breaks the fast that one goes through the night.
Undoubtedly, the most important meal of the day; breakfast is one of the most varied meals across the globe. While in many homes a simple egg preparation is accepted, in others it could be a rice and preparation.
