Breakfast as a word has been connoted because it is the first meal of the day and it breaks the fast that one goes through the night.

Undoubtedly, the most important meal of the day; breakfast is one of the most varied meals across the globe. While in many homes a simple egg preparation is accepted, in others it could be a rice and preparation. Breakfast could also be a quick cereals-with-milk affair; or, and elaborate course meal with beverages and desserts. In many cultures, the previous night’s meal is often finished at breakfast (like in Goa, the leftover fish curry is warmed for breakfast. This is known as ‘kalchi kodi’ – yesterday’s curry and has a stronger flavour because it tends to be slightly thicker)
