San Bei Ji (Taiwanese Three Cup Chicken)

When in Taiwan, one of the most interesting dishes to taste is the San Bei Ji.

San Bei Ji is also known as Three Cup San Bei JiChicken as it uses a cup each of Rice Wine, Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil to cook the chicken (preferably chicken wings). While the sauce is cooked and is absorbed by the chicken, don’t get turned off by the dark colour of the sauce.

Like most Taiwanese dishes, this dish has it’s origins from a Chinese province (Jiangxi)
